The magnificent seafood sculpture (yes, made of real fresh seafood) at Harrod's department store. This photo was taken before my little, shall we say, incident. Fortunately, the police were very understanding. That aroma was just intoxicating.
Always good advice.
Me at the Monument to the Great Fire of London. The fire destroyed much of the city in 1666.
Covent Garden, a big shopping and eating area of London. It was also filled with street performers.
Crazy Nik and his musical traffic cone. He was playing "My Way." Indeed, he did it his way.
The Tower Bridge off in the distance. I believe the closer bridge is what is now known as London Bridge.
Buckingham Palace, where we went to see the daily changing of the guard at 11 a.m.
A statue near the palace.
The changing of the guard begins. Personally, I found this to be the most overrated attraction in London. It's really rather boring. If you only have time to do one thing, go to the seafood sculpture at Harrod's. But if you're in London for a few days, you might as well see the changing of the guard.
A parade accompanies the guard-changing.
The parade heads up this wide boulevard ...
... toward the Admiralty Arch. Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery are all on the other side of the arch.
